                                                                                                                                                ITINERARY

Feb 2007

Preparation and registration for Black Aurora 2 has begun.  This one promises to be even better than last years at a bigger field with more players and our new sponsor redsoldier.com .

Sept 2006

Tango from Black Eagle attends Operation Irene 4 and teams up with Taskforce 216 on Charlies side.  Charlie wins by a landslide.

June 2006

Black Eagle moves its home on the web to a new server taskforceblackeagle.net. Black Eagle attends TACs Operation Safari Strike. Although our side lost, a good time was had by all. TAC comes through BIG at their events and this was a good one!

Black Eagle fields a full roster at Operation Blind Fury 3 and helps bring a victory to Tropicos! Strikers host another great event and the weather couldn't have been any better.

April 2006

OP: Black Aurora registration closes as the event draws near. Black Aurora is to take place April 29, 2006. Final preparations are made.

BlackEagle sign up for OP: Blind Fury 3, an op by Team Strikers.

March 2006

Plans come together for our first event. It's called OP: Black Aurora. We're trying to incorporate new elements that haven't been experienced before. More roleplaying and surprises than you would find at most ops. Info about the op can be found HERE.

Many of our team members stock up on new weapons and upgrades for the upcoming season. Already there are ops planned through mid-year. Our focus remains on OP:Safari Strike 2 and Black Aurora. I'm sure we will attend other events.

A practice is planned between Taskforce 216 and BlackEagle. No date has been set yet.

Our new patches should arrive any day now.

January-February 2006

BlackEagle continues training, bringing new members up to par with the rest of the team. We plan on attending fall and winter events as they come, as well as attending any TAC winter games we can. We are ready to settle in for the winter months and enjoy some catch-up time. This is also a time for upgrades, repairs and obtaining new gear for the coming year.

After a rocky start due to the holiday season practices resume. We start work on a new patch design and get it to a patch maker. New members join our team (Yankee, Delta) and other prospects are in the introduction phase.

February 18th, our friends from Taskforce 216 join us at our Pfeiffer practice field for some skirmishes. Afterward both teams convene at Ralphies in Marion for some brew and grub.

Our team registers nine strong for OP:Safari Strike 2, an op taking place on June 3, 2006.

It's that time of year to spend all of our income tax return money on airsoft goodies.

December 19, 2005

Oscar creates a new look for the website.

November 19, 2005

AirsoftSmith.com sponsors BlackEagle.

BlackEagle attends OP: Distant Horizon (an op organized by the 08th Expeditionary Unit) on the side of the Peoples' Freedom Front. Attendees are X-Ray, Oscar, Whiskey, Tango and Sierra. The day ends in PFF's defeat. Nevertheless we have a great time.

BlackEagle release their Distant Horizon helmet cam videos. Demand is still strong for the Irene videos. Adding the new DH videos to the mix keeps hits coming in to the our site. Bandwidth is once again peaked just shy of the monthly limit. The site receives an average of 1000 hits a day.

October 1, 2005

BlackEagle release the first of four OP: Irene III videos. Oscar and Tango post on numerous popular airsoft forums to get the word out. The response is pheonominal. In 8 short days the video reaches a worldwide audience and web site bandwidth is peaked. There is such a demand for the video that Oscar is forced to remove the videos and use free video host sites to keep from surpassing the monthly data transfer limit for the web site. Fortune smiles on us as our web space provider ups its monthly bandwidth allowance to keep pace with competitors. This bandwidth increase couldn't have come at a better time.

Oscar starts developing new friendships with airsofters around the world. He follows linked URL's from the web site referral statistics and joins conversations on countless forums discussing the video(s).

September 23-25, 2005

OP: Irene III is a success for Charlie company. X-Ray, Tango and Team TAC work together to help bring victory to Col. McKnight. Tango gets some great footage with his helmet cam.

August 2005 - September 2005

taskforceblackeagle.net website is created in early August.

During the month of August and September, BlackEagle works with Team TAC, training in preparation for OP: Irene III. X-Ray, Oscar and Tango attend TAC practices to work on SOP's for the op. X-Ray and Tango are to attend OPI:III as part of TAC's squad.

August 5-7, 2005

OP: Northern Wind 2. Attendees: X-Ray, Oscar, Sierra and Tango. We arrive, seeking vengeance for the loss last year with the help of our friends Team TAC and 08th Expeditionary Unit. BlackEagle's squad (including KrazyGlue and Sgt. Horvath), harass the enemy to keep them guessing while other squads move in on objectives. X-Ray finds the intel CD, we help guard the weapons crates at our HQ and are instrumental in holding off the assault on the ridge at the end of the second day. Fox is the clear victor thanks to the hard work of all involved. Mullen is redeemed. New friendships are forged. X-Ray receives the Certificate of Valor from Howard "Max Max" Mullen, Fox CO and Ranger veteran.

July 2005

Sierra (a.k.a. Angel of Death) joins BlackEagle and begins training with us for OP: Northern Wind 2. Some of BlackEagle make it to Team TAC's practices to touch base on OP: NW2.

June 4, 2005

OP: Safari Strike. Attendees: X-Ray, Zulu, Papa, Romeo, Oscar, Tango and Whiskey. Three inactive members (Zulu, Romeo and Papa) come out of hiding to attend. X-Ray (our leader) is the CO for the Antoga Rebels. Antoga fight hard. We dominate the field and complete all objectives way before end time. It's a huge win for BlackEagle and shows clearly that X-Ray has what it takes to be a CO.

June 2005

BlackEagle makes plans to attend OP: Safari Strike. Tango (a.k.a. THX) joins BlackEagle and begins training with us for the op.

September 2004 - June 2005

BlackEagle trains through the winter, getting members caught up, preparing for the new year if airsoft. In the process four members (Victor, Zulu, Papa and Romeo) drop off the radar, going inactive. BlackEagle moves on, avoiding non-milsim ops early 2005.

September 3-5, 2004

OP: Northern Wind 1. Attendees: X-Ray, Oscar, Papa and Romeo. We join the Fox side with Msgt. Max Mullen. BlackEagle become recon/harassment. We escort Mullen to the last stand at the ridge, but unfortunately lose the op.

August 15, 2004

OP: Urgent Cause. Attendees: X-Ray, Oscar, Papa and Romeo. We join the DPLA side. We become instrumental in keeping the US troops pinned down. By mid-afternoon we have complete control of the field. BlackEagle takes the enemy's hospital and holds off the enemy, subsequently taking the enemy's flag marking the end of the op.

July 24, 2004

OP: Key to the City at Fran Bar Park. Attendees: X-Ray, Oscar, Whiskey, Romeo and Papa. Our first experience with airsoft outside of training and fighting against each other. We win some key skirmishes.

Late winter/early spring 2004

BlackEagle finds new recruits in Oscar, Papa and Romeo. Training begins for the new recruits and continues every Saturday thereafter. Dedication to the team was renewed. We begin to actively participate in the airsoft community.

2003

BlackEagle is formed with four original members: X-Ray, Whiskey, Zulu and Victor. An SOP is developed and training begins.
